Itaú Unibanco


The largest financial conglomerate in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the 12 largest worldwide, Itaú Unibanco was created through the merger of Itaú and Unibanco. These Brazilian institutions were established in 1945 and 1924, respectively. The partnership gave rise to a considerably more solid and structured bank that excels in providing a wide range of services to private, government and institutional clients. The bank’s shares, identified by the symbol ITUB, are traded in São Paulo, Buenos Aires and New York, the latter through American Depository Receipts (ADRs).
